The Wild Boys 80′s Band

When existing customer Rich Knight approached us looking to update his old website that had been going for a couple of years, we jumped on the opportunity! Rich had very specific ideas in mind as to what he was looking for; he wanted to be able to view the website on portable devices as well as computers and he wanted to have an array of multimedia built into the website. This came in the form of a Flikr gallery, built in MP3 Player and YouTube integration.

For compatibility reasons the website also utilises a Java gallery on the homepage instead of featuring a Flash animation that could not be seen on some mobile devices. We see this a positive way forward for designing image based animations and slideshows in future websites.

The site is clean, easy to navigate and most importantly, looks slick. We hope you all like it too.

Viscribe creates new Youtube video for GLW Engineering

The importance of social media integration in modern websites is key today. Social interaction engages your visitors, keeps them interested and allows visitors to refer your business onto their friends and colleagues easily. If that’s not enough it also helps your website get noticed in the search engines. All in all if you have a little spare time to keep your social feeds updated, you could really reap in some rewards. At Viscribe we are constantly pushing our customers towards the path of social feed integration. Another key tool within the social network arena is YouTube integration and videos; if a picture speaks a thousand words imagine how many a video will speak!

GLW Engineering approached us to complete a small YouTube video to feature on their website, the below is a good example of what we can do for your business, for only £85 + VAT!

Bing! Google’s had an idea but is it original?

This week you may have noticed that instead of the minimalist and efficient white backdrop you have become accustomed to seeing on Google you found an image dominating the screen. Ok so it looks good, although some of the photography was not to my taste, its a change right?

Well wrong, as this idea seems to be a blatant pinch from the boff’s over at Bing.com who launched their stunning search engine with a daily theme that actually works fantastically well. I have read in reports that some schools actually start the day by reviewing the pic of the day on Bing and following the links to the facts and information that accompanies the image.

I have to say I do love the looks and functionality of Bing however due to the market dominance of Google I am forced to pay more attention to their moves than anyone else. Personally I welcome competition to Google and hope that it helps web design of the future to be more original and less based on what Google thinks of it and how it will position in their search engine.

After Google’s little stunt, I for one can’t help but wonder if they may have lost some users to Bing due to sympathy and to the highlight they have had in the press over this.
